In March 2011, we hosted a day of educational creative workshops at Zellig, Birmingham. The event brought together schools from across the West Midlands region to participate in workshops teaching creative drawing, aerosol art and DJing.
The event primarily focused on allowing young people to discover the various types of artistic outlets that are available to them within their community. One of the key benefits of this event was to help young people fulfil their potential, by providing them with the confidence to embrace the concept of applying creative thought.
Celebrity guest, Marc Silk, whose voice-overs include the characters of Scooby Doo and Jonny Bravo, and famous remote control car artist, Ian Cook from PopBangColour were among the inspirational creative tutors. Three times world champion, DJ Switch was the host of the DJ workshops. Additionally, Hedz art tutors delivered graffiti art workshops, and traditional art workshops.
