Since 2001, we have risen to become the Midland's leading creative workshop provider. We have given thousands of young people and adults access to contemporary art workshops in a safe and creative environment. We have extensive experience engaging young people and adults, of diverse social and domestic backgrounds, in inspirational art classes, art courses and art workshops for schools.
We pride ourselves on the highest standards of facilitation, from the quality of our art tutors, to the goals and objectives we achieve during our time with the participants of our creative workshops. The art programs we provide are flexible in terms of duration and attendance structure, allowing you to influence the design of the art course or youth workshop yourself.
Our organisation has a strong focus on challenging social issues during our youth projects, using our unique youth empowerment techniques. Our on-going work with organisations such as West Midlands Police, National Youth Services and The Youth Offending Programme highlights our strong agenda towards making positive social changes through our youth events and youth workshops.
Hedz art workshops focus on promoting a sense of ownership to all participants, and allow young people to understand the skills of creation as a viable career option. A comprehensive accreditation scheme is provided to give the participants a clear set of goals and objectives within each art program, and to reward and encourage them for completing each art workshop.
We can deliver workshops for youth, art classes for children or other programs for youth, at the location of your choice (subject to risk assessment), at any time of the year. We can provide art tutors, mural artists, graffiti artists and music tutors to deliver the following creative workshops as individual services, or as part of a more comprehensive timetable of activities...

Art Workshop:
We provide art programs which empower young people to collectively contribute to the creation of an art mural. This can be painted as a permanent wall mural, or as canvas art, for display or storage. The wall art or canvas art painting is available to keep to promote and encourage a sense of ownership within the community. We can also incorporate creative drawing workshops as a pre-cursor to the main activity, or as part of an ongoing art course.
Creative Drawing Workshop:
Participants are engaged in a creative drawing art class. Our art tutors provide a valuable insight into the realisation of conceptual ideas in a creative workshop environment. Hedz art classes include the importance of proportion, perspective, and light. Our art tutors encourage all participants to discuss the developments within their drawings with peer group members. This art workshop is very effective at creating a clear platform for youth consultation and youth empowerment. Hedz art courses provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to explore their own creative thought processes.
T Shirt Customisation / ‘Customise Your Own T Shirt' Workshop:
An opportunity for young people to be engaged in the industry skills of t shirt customisation, whilst being allowed the freedom to express their own unique ideas in a creative workshop environment. Hedz art tutors will work through several production techniques to assist the participants in completing a customised t shirt which can be taken away and worn.
Breakdance Workshop / Streetdance Workshop:
Young people are given access to professional dance tutors, and engaged in a confidence-building creative workshop in contemporary dance skills. These youth workshops teach the participants the foundations of various styles, and equip them with the skills to continue to progress at the conclusion of the youth program.
DJ Workshop / Music Workshop:
Professional DJ tutors engage young people in a music workshop that will assist the participants in developing their music performance skills. Rudimentary theories of music can be communicated through our youth workshops. These will include beat-mixing, scratching and general music theory allowing application to other musical avenues or youth events.
MC Workshop / Lyric Writing Workshop:
This youth program is designed to educate the participants in the composition and performance of lyrics, as well as in the less tangible nature of the performance, vocal control and delivery. This youth workshop can be easily combined with a music production workshop to create a finished piece of music.
Music Production Workshop:
This creative workshop promotes a sense of group engagement and youth empowerment. These youth programs include professional music production suites to help young people create a bespoke piece of music. All finished music is available to keep, to help participants gain a clear sense of ownership.
Combined Creative Workshop Programmes:
Hedz creative workshops and art classes can be combined into extended art courses, allowing students access to art tutors and professional graffiti artists, within a more substantial youth program.
